You probably saw this coming. Which means I did it right. The final wrap up is tomorrow when the last open end is going to be answered.

Mr. Poncy ran and ran and ran, up and down Lemon Street. The animosity between humans and color nymphs seemed to subside when Vimal wasn't in the mix. A short while later, Mr. Poncy ran into the bird garden and back to the tea room where all the spices and oils were kept. Vimal flew in moments later and in a flurry of lemon zest, Prism was forced into a different form. The birds all escaped and the walls were now white. Something about citrus, lemons in particular, caused mutation in bad ways. The Prism Mother sat, trapped in a form somewhere between human and not, trapped with a lot more than lemon though. She remembered being lost, but not for what reason. She barely remembered Vimal when he immediately hugged her, followed by Vapid and Nabuch. The golden old trio just followed the trail of whites and blacks...and then the lemony explosion did plenty else to say where the commotion was. The cat was still there. Fracture was preoccupied with something more sinister, Elisedd was returning colors to where they were meant to go on the way to the Bird Garden on Lemon Street. Prism Mother was calm...disheveled and unremembering until she saw Flossie, who knew her as Brenda. Brenda also used to work at the marmalade factory before it was shut down. The accident a while ago. The one which caused a much larger chain of mishaps indirectly resulting in Dorris' loss of an arm and feet happened just south of Hossville in a different fruit orchard.

What opened the way for the color nymphs was sheer luck, but who kept them here was not. That chain which burned cold to the touch was still taught, and on the other end of the chain that got gradually more transparent, was the holder of the key to why they were here. The bright not night was still mostly one-way - into the human world. No one could return through it, and Prism Mother-Brenda wouldn't be able to leave with the chain that kept her in this weird half-here-half-there limbo.

Citrus is really not good for color nymphs.

Kinda thought so.

And dang! When all of this is said and done, I'm seriously going to go back and read tis through.

There has been a bit of a discussion between lirvilas and I about the best use for these things after the challenge...

Spell, no matter what Prof says, it is a BAD IDEA to put 30 for 30 in a YouTube slideshow set to "November Rain".

I told you you were right. I'm going with "Inna-Gadda-Da-Vida".

:D That means I left all the right hints!(Considering how haphazard this tale is I'm glad it worked.)

I know for mine i'm lining everyone up in a height lineup so I have future references with how tall all the appearing idiots are.(All of my characters are idiots in the best or worst way)

I didn't realize people still did slideshows to music on YouTube. I legit did not know this was a thing. Also, styling hatebread you've got going there. ;D
