Bethany Sterling is Edward Chapel's Personal Assistant, and one of the few people he trusts implicitly.

She ensures that everything in Mr. Chapel's complex life runs smoothly. Despite dressing like a stereotypical secretary from the 1950s (a quirk which Chapel finds endearing), Bethany is a liberated young woman, and unafraid to set her employer straight when he needs it (which he also cherishes, as so few are willing).

"...the few people he trusts implicitly."

That's two now. Gotta be careful, else a man can end up gasping "Et tu, Brute?" as he's brought down by his creations.

I'm not talking about Chairman Chapel.

I've had them with me this long. I'm sure I can handle them longer.

And yes, I've been reading the "long and crazy story thread", chuckling all the while (a lot of the central conceits there do not apply, since I have no ending in sight...)

I'm not talking about your characters.

Yeah, that thread is nice but for those of y'all in the execution phase it's easy to presume that its concepts are overcome by events.

However, Mr. Newman's right and you dang well know that's why Deacon and Bishop are your best characters (they are friggin' fascinating), not a certain other pair of muppets.

I regret nothing!

And Muppets? Really? But they have fans, too... And Marie-Ange is kind of the unofficial mascot of Autumn Bay...

The biggest problem with them is that I let them get roped into the Cameo Caper before setting their actual mission into action. Early days, steering was a bit off...

Hmm... I'm sensing another round of PMs to the subscribers coming on... possibly...
