(Oh dang was beaten to being the first for the second day but anyway)

On Thomas Nepomuceno's (he's incomplete, will be my character for tomorrow) preliminary sketch page there is a woman, holding an apple in front of her face, and dressed like the subject of the painting, ‘The Son Of Man’. A note next to her says that this woman is known as Irene Nesser (woo Lisbeth) and that she specialised in Surrealism.

This was too good to let go and so Irene Rise Makhulu was developed, or at least dragged out to be drawn. She’s interested in the arts, is an office worker, and a complete horse when it comes to apples.

For some reason, from the start I’d envisioned her as of African (maybe Zambian or Zimbabwean) descent, although this can be attributed to me listening to quite a lot of Laura Mvula when sketching this out. It's quite fitting, though.

There are certain limits to her power. For example, she can only distort space to a limited extent. Raining men, although quite desirable for her, tends to be quite messy as they splash. And anyway, it's more of a rain of umbrellas for her if anything.

Ooh, surrealism? That's really cool.

Also, I wonder if whoever it'll be will do something fitting?

Hopefully whatever they do won't summon Satan.
